Packing & wrapping

Good packing is most of what protects your things on moving day. Furniture gets stretch-wrapped and padded with moving blankets before it ever leaves the room, and the same care goes into boxes, whether we’re packing everything or just the parts of your home you’d rather leave to us.

Full vs partial packing

Some moves call for everything to be packed; others just need help with the kitchen, the closets, or anything fragile while you handle the rest. Tell us what you’d like packed and what you’re taking care of yourself, and we’ll plan around it.

Wrapping and blankets

Every piece of furniture gets wrapped in stretch film and padded with moving blankets before loading — the same approach you can see in our gallery. It protects wood surfaces, upholstery and corners from scuffs and the general jostle of a move, whether it’s across the city or further afield.

Fragile items

Glassware, mirrors, artwork and anything else fragile get individual attention: extra padding, careful boxing, and placement in the truck where they won’t be under anything heavy. If there’s a piece you’re especially worried about, tell us ahead of time so we can plan for it specifically.

Packing supplies

Let us know if you’d like us to bring packing materials, or if you’re supplying your own boxes and wrap — we’re happy to work either way. We’ll confirm what’s needed as part of your quote.

What to prepare

• Let us know which rooms or items you’d like packed versus which you’ll handle yourself.
• Point out anything fragile, valuable or awkward to pack ahead of time.
• Set aside anything you don’t want boxed — documents, medication, essentials for the first night.
