Condo & apartment moving
Moves for condos and apartments, planned around elevators, loading docks and building rules.
Moving in or out of a condo or apartment has its own logistics: a booked elevator window, a loading dock with its own rules, a management office that wants a certificate or a deposit, and hallways that were never built with a sofa in mind. We plan around all of it, not around a generic moving-day script.
Elevator and loading-dock bookings
Most Toronto condo buildings require an elevator booking for move day, often with a fixed window of two to four hours. We work to your building’s booked time, so the move starts and finishes inside it, and we confirm the details with you beforehand so nothing is left to guess on the day.
Move-in/out windows and building deposits
Many buildings ask for a move-in or move-out form, a refundable deposit, or both, before they’ll release an elevator booking. We’re happy to work with whatever process your building management requires — just send us the details early so there’s time to sort it out before your date.
Parking for the truck
Loading docks, visitor parking and street parking all come with their own restrictions, and downtown buildings in particular can be tight. We plan where the truck will park as part of the quote, so it isn’t a scramble on the morning of the move.
Narrow halls and tight turns
Hallway corners, narrow stairwells in older walk-ups, and elevators sized for people rather than furniture all call for the same thing: care and a plan. We measure awkward pieces against doorways and elevator cars ahead of time where it matters, and wrap furniture to protect both it and the building’s walls and door frames.
Checklist to send your building
A short list to confirm with your property management before moving day:
- Elevator booking window and any required deposit
- Which entrance and loading area to use
- Whether the building asks movers for a certificate of insurance
- Move-in/move-out hours the building allows
Tell us your building, your unit and your move date, and we’ll plan the rest around it.
